Welcome to Multifunctional Energy Materials Laboratory!

 

We are a research lab that focuses on tuning nanostructures for energy applications ranging from storage to catalysis. Our lab is dedicated to advancing the field of energy materials through innovative research. We aim to develop new materials that can be used for sustainable energy solutions. Our lab is made up of a team of highly skilled researchers who are passionate about their work.

 

At Multifunctional Energy Materials Laboratory, we are committed to conducting research that makes a difference. We Our lab is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and technology, which allows us to stay at the forefront of energy materials research. We are constantly exploring new ideas and pushing the boundaries of what is possible. We believe that our work has the potential to change the world and make it a better place.

Prof. Amreesh Chandra

Dr. Amreesh Chandra has over 20 years of experience in the field of energy materials research. Dr. Chandra's research focuses on Hierarchical Nanostructures of Metal Oxides for Energy Applications. He is committed to advancing the field of energy materials and is passionate about mentoring the next generation of researchers.

Ms. Joyanti Halder

Senior Research Fellow,

Department of Physics,

IIT Kharagpur

Ms. Joyanti Halder is a senior researcher at Department of Physics, IIT Kharagpur. She has a M.Sc in Physics from Lady Brabourne College, University of Calcutta, India. Ms. Joyanti Halder has extensive experience in the synthesis and characterization of energy materials for supercapacitor and battery application.

Ms. Surbhi Priya

Senior Research Fellow,

IIT Kharagpur

Ms. Surbhi Priya is a Prime Minister Research Scholar at School of Energy Science and Engineering, IIT Kharagpur. She has M.Tech in Solid State Physics from IIT Kharagpur, India. Ms. Surbhi Priya has extensive experience in the fabrication and characterization of batteries and supercapacitors. Also, she possesses a deep understanding of Life Cycle Study of materials and  devices.

Ms. Sakshi Kansal

Prime Minister Research Fellow,

School of Energy Science and Engineering,

IIT Kharagpur

Ms. Sakshi Kansal is a Prime Minister's Research Fellow at School of Energy Science and Engineering, IIT Kharagpur. She has completed an Integrated Master of Science from IISER Bhopal in Chemistry.  Her broad area of research is to design integrated energy storage systems incorporating water electrolyzers and supercapacitors She also works in the field of battery recycling.

Mr. Satvik Anshu is a senior researcher at School of Energy Science and Engineering, IIT Kharagpur. He has a Master in Technology in Physics from IIT Kharagpur, Kharagpur, India. His work primarily focuses on the development of anodic materials for battery application.

Mr. Lalit Bharti is a Prime Minster's Research Fellow at the Department of Physics. He has a Master of Science degree in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology Indore, India. Mr. Lalit Bharti is working in the domain of energy storage systems and devices, focusing on Beyond-Lithium batteries

Ms. Shyamal Shegokar

Ms. Shyamal Shegokar is a Senior Research. Fellow at the School of Energy Science and Engineering. She has a Master of Science degree in Physics from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology Nagpur, India. Ms. Shyamal is working on energy storage systems including batteries and supercapacitors. Ms. Shyamal has expertise in the synthesis and characterization of novel materials from waste for energy applications.

Louis Bisset is a research assistant at Multifunctional Energy Materials Laboratory. He has a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from UC Berkeley. Louis is an integral part of our research team and is responsible for assisting with experiments and data analysis.

Ms. Sonali Das

M.Sc Student

Kaamla Murad is a research assistant at Multifunctional Energy Materials Laboratory. She has a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from UCLA. Kaamla plays an important role in our lab and is responsible for assisting with sample preparation and equipment maintenance.
